Mount Holyoke College
Full time student
South Hadley, MA 01075
I am proudly a woman of color in STEM at Mount Holyoke College studying Neuroscience, Psychology and Data Science. The liberal arts education of Mount Holyoke has equipped me with the skills to bridge the gaps between different fields. The interdisciplinary education at Mount Holyoke has allowed me to be part of research projects in distinct but yet related fields including Genetics, Visual Cognition and Data Analytics.

My recent project as a Data Analyst/ Research Assistant in Visual Cognition and Attention Lab at University of Massachusetts, seeks to explore underlying thought processes in humans while performing visual search tasks, using data analysis. In this project, I worked with human eye tracking data which consisted of ~500 subjects, 400k data-points and 30 features. I used this data to explore the most efficient strategies that can be employed to guide visual target search, using tools such as R, Excel and SPSS.

My curiosity to explore different fields has secured me an opportunity to be part of the Marketing and Advertisement Education (MADE 2020) Program hosted by the ANA Educational Foundation. This program has taught me about various marketing strategies and what goes into building a brand. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to use my diverse skill set learnt in this program, to work with a diverse team of 5 people and pitch and self designed and analysed product in a Clorox Case Competition.

I am a senior and will be graduating in May 2021. I am looking for full time opportunities in different fields such as Data Science, Biotech, Healthcare and Marketing. My diverse and easily transferable skill set along with an enthusiastic team spirit would allow me to quickly adapt to a new role in any of these fields.
