Ashley Armand

Ashley Armand is an Academic Advisor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University for the Masters in Computer Science-Align Program. Before joining Northeastern, Ashley had over 5+ years in the nonprofit sector working predominately in Immigration Policy and human rights advocacy/law on behalf of, and alongside immigrants with varying legal statuses & asylum seekers in support of equitable policy solutions.

Additionally, Ashley served as a researcher measuring how culturally responsive teaching can enrich African-American and Latino students' development using observational and mixed methods (teacher-child interactions) to address teacher learning and equity in Pre-K, K-6, and middle school teaching.
Ashley holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Northeastern University, and a Bachelors degree in Sociology-minoring in Theoretical and Applied Ethics.

In her spare time, she loves to write short stories and poetry, and painting.
