Chief Product Officer
Dave Cotter is the Chief Product Officer at Leafly, the most highly trafficked cannabis website in the world. At Leafly he oversees all engineering, product management, UX, data, and IT. Prior to Leafly, Dave was the VP of Digital Products at Nordstrom, where he oversaw N.com, mobile apps, in-store digital experiences, salesperson tools, digital styling services, point-of-sale systems, digital payments and the supply chain platform for Nordstrom. Prior to Nordstrom, Dave was CEO of e-commerce over mobile messaging platform MessageYes, the conversational commerce platform that allows users to discover and buy their favorite products via text and app messaging by simply replying 'Yes". Nordstrom acquired MessageYes in March of 2018.

A high-tech entrepreneur at heart, Dave was previously a director of engineering at Zulily and co-founded SquareHub, a mobile private social network for families. Prior to SquareHub, Dave was a general manager at Amazon in the early years of Amazon Web Services and worldwide marketing, managing teams of hundreds of engineers, product managers, and marketing managers. Dave also co-founded CS Adxpose, L.L.C. (alternate name: Mpire Corporation) in 2004 and served as its chairman and chief executive officer until 2006. Prior to co-founding Mpire, Dave was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Ignition Partners, where he researched the impact of web services platforms on small businesses.

Before joining Ignition Partners, Dave was responsible for product management, developer marking, business development, and open-source strategy at BEA Systems, where he navigated the innovative Beehive project through the Apache Software Foundation's approval process. He also served as the Director of Product Management for the award-winning BEA WebLogic Workshop Java development environment. He has held several product and program management positions at some of the most recognized software companies in the industry, including Microsoft, RealNetworks, and NetManage.

Dave lives in Seattle with his three daughters, a dog, and a cat.
