Mamtha Banerjee, a Tech entrepreneur, is currently Senior Director, Technology at Expedia Group, where she leads core applications and services for an intelligent conversation platform supporting millions of conversations. She is a startup enthusiast, a graduate of TechStars Seattle and has previously founded 2 companies and raised seed rounds from investors both in Seattle and the Bay Area. She is also a Mentor at the University of Washington’s Master’s program in Entrepreneurship. She believes that diversity enables teams to build superior products and achieve better outcomes. Over the years she has consciously worked towards building more diverse and gender-balanced teams. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and has completed a few marathons. Her passion for the outdoors drove her to hike Annapurna and Everest base camps and summit Mt. Kilimanjaro
